Born in 1977 in Moscow, Mikhail Kotomin graduated from the Moscow State University in 1998. In 1996, he started working for Ad Marginem Press, a publishing house that specializes in translations of nonfiction with a focus on art, illustrated books for children and adults, and books on anthropology, economics, sociology, philosophy and cultural theory, and became its CEO in 2001. Mikhail Kotomin is one of the founders of the Russian Alliance of the Independent Publishers and Booksellers, launched in 2011.
