Lara Meana
Bookseller, specialist in Children‘s and YA Literature, reading promoter, writer, picture book translator, trainer of teachers and interlocutor of readers. With initial training in psychology, her first experience of community work took place in Guatemala. Upon her return, she began her work as a rural librarian in Santa Eulalia de Oscos, with a reading promotion project that won several awards. Ten years ago she opened El Bosque de la Maga Colibrí(opens in a new window), a bookstore that is also a cultural promotion project that has won the Serondaya Award for Innovation in Literature 2016 and has been finalist in the Cultural Bookstore Award four times, receiving a special mention in 2015 and 2017. She regularly gives courses and lectures on childrens books, picture books and reading mediation in various fields. She belongs to the TresBrujas team and is co-author of the resource guide Rutas de Lectura.
