Simon Lörsch
Simon Lörsch studied German and Latin American Literature in Cologne and Madrid. He joined Berlin-based independent publisher Suhrkamp(opens in a new window) in 2011, after graduation and working as freelance editor for German fiction with S. Fischer. At Suhrkamp he works as an acquisitions editor on literary fiction, memoire and narrative non-fiction, translated from English and Spanish. For the Tel Aviv-based The Short Story Project Simon curated an online library of short fiction in German language enabling first time translations into English, Spanish and Hebrew of both young contemporary writers and classics. Since fall 2019 Simon is guest lecturer at Freie Universität Berlin where he holds a seminar about the process and intricacy of publishing foreign fiction in Germany.
