Frankfurter Buchmesse Film Awards: Call for entries – seeking the best illustrated books on film
Motovun Group of International Publishers is once again awarding the best film related book / Deadline for submissions: 31 May 2019
This year, Frankfurter Buchmesse and the MGIP Motovun Group of International Publishers are once again awarding a prize for the “Best Illustrated Book on Film”. The award is given in recognition of an original book concept, to honour outstanding design and production quality and the compelling adaptation into book form of a film-related subject.
The books submitted should not have been published before August 2018 and must be currently available. Publishers both in Germany and abroad may participate. The deadline for submissions is 31 May 2019. The members of the jury, composed of members of the MGIP Motovun Group of International Publishers, will select one title from the submitted books and will announce the winner at the award ceremony.
The award ceremony for the Frankfurter Buchmesse Film Awards takes place on Saturday, 19 October 2019, in the Frankfurt Pavilion. In addition to the prize for “Best Illustrated Book on Film”, the Film Awards, established by Frankfurter Buchmesse in 2004 to recognise the best international film adaptations of literary works, also grant awards in the categories “Best International Literary Adaptation” and “Best International Adaptation for Children or Young Adults”.
