Opening: Glimpses beyond natural beauty

Inhospitable landscapes, ephemeral architecture, fragile nature. The photo books by Ulrike Crespo.

On the occasion of the third anniversary of the death of the artist Urlike Crespo her 15 photo books, which she designed together with the renowned designer Harald Pridgar, are shown in an exhibition for the first time. In her photographic series, many of which were taken while travelling, she experimented with different camera techniques and devoted herself to the macrocosm of landscapes and the microcosm of plants. The goal of her photography was not the photo in the museum, her artistic impulse was of a democratic nature: she wanted the photo as a page in a book so that everyone could participate in her experiments and expeditions.
