Reading Images: the importance of Picture Books to encourage children to read

Today, we are all aware of the fact that picture books for young readers help to promote literacy, vocabulary skills, sentence structure and story analysis. Picture books are an important part of learning how to read in a wider sense: children learn to recognize sounds and patterns within the spoken language, they improve comprehension, but also develop a love for reading and improve their social & emotional skills through the reading of visuals.
