With its attack on sovereign Ukraine, Russia has flagrantly violated international law. Vladimir Putin has massively shaken the European security and peace order. Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine illuminates a geopolitical landscape in upheaval - the world is no longer the same after this war. This attack on the post-war order in Europe is a violation of the agreement that borders on this continent cannot be changed by force.

In this panel discussion we would like to discuss the geopolitical changes triggered by the war. Together with the expert on Eastern European history and Peace Prize of the German Book Trade winner Anne Applebaum, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine (2020-2024) Dmytro Kuleba and the journalist Cathrin Kahlweit, we will analyse what the world could look like after the war and what long-term effects on the global power structure can be expected."
