Culture manager, curator, editor, essayist and publicist
Basil Kerski is a culture manager, curator, editor, essayist and publicist. After studying Politics and Slavistics at the Free University, Berlin, he held teaching positions at the Free University, the Humboldt University and the University of Gdansk. He has been Chief Editor of the German-Polish magazine DIALOG since 2008, and since 2011 Director of the European Solidarity Centre in his home city of Gdansk. He reports on European topics at Deutschlandfunk Kultur, and his essays are published in numerous newspapers.
