Bernhard Zünkeler studied law and art history and received his doctorate in law.
He worked for many years as a business lawyer. In 2009 he turned his passion into his profession
and became co-founder of the Urban Art Lab ESMoA in Los Angeles. His work in
Germany focuses on new-work inspiration projects. They have been awarded
numerous awards. In 2018, he co-founded the artist collective
Freeters. In June, 3Sat aired the long-running documentary Art is a state of mind about him.
