Catherine Hernandez
Catherine Hernandez is a Queer Brown author, and screenwriter. She is of Filipino, Spanish, Chinese and Indian heritage and married into the Navajo Nation. Her first novel, Scarborough, won the Jim Wong-Chu Award, was shortlisted for the Toronto Book Award, Trillium Book Award and longlisted for Canada Reads. It was adapted into a motion picture by Compy Films, Telefilm Canada and Reel Asian Film Festival. Her latest novel, Crosshairs, was published this year by HarperCollins Canada, Atria Books in the US and Jacaranda Books in the UK.
