Catrin Altzschner studied history and German literature with a focus on literary studies, worked at the Kaas & Kappes children's theater, wrote her own plays there and participated in poetry slams with prose texts. She worked as a journalist for various format radios of NRW Lokalfunk and ARD. Since 2019 she hosts the podcast Intimbereich about sexuality and relationships at 1Live/WDR. At the German Hygiene Museum in Dresden, she hosts the literary work show Klub der kruden Dichter.
