Christian Duda's real name is Christian Achmed Gad Elkarim; in fact, his former name was Ahmet Ibrahim el Said Gad Elkarim. He was Austrian, Egyptian and is now German, was Catholic, Muslim and has been a happy atheist for a very long time. He is an author, director and father and lives in Berlin. His children's books and novels for young adults are published by Beltz & Gelberg, most recently Eins über mir (One Above Me).
