Denis Scheck, born in 1964 in Stuttgart, now lives in Cologne. He founded his own literary agency at the age of 13. As a literary translator and editor, he was involved with authors such as Michael Chabon, William Gaddis and David Foster Wallace, Antje Strubel and Judith Schalansky. For a long time he worked as a literary critic on the radio, today he is the presenter of the television programmes "Lesenswert" on SWR and "Druckfrisch" on ARD.
