Dr. Urban van Melis has been Commercial Director/CEO at Ullstein Buchverlage since 2019 and is responsible for all matters outside of the programme and press. After completing his training as a retail bookseller, van Melis studied book science, German philology and political science at Gutenberg University in Mainz. Following his doctorate, he started his publishing career and was active at Ravensburger and Carlsen, among others, before Ullstein.
