Heinke Hager studied German Language and Literature, Theatre and Journalism in Berlin. Following her studies, she has since worked with the agency Graf & Graf, founded by Karin Graf in 1995. She has been responsible for the "Film Rights" division since 2000 and became Managing Director of the agency in 2012. To date, she has offered and negotiated the film rights for 40 literary adaptations produced for cinema and television. The agency Graf & Graf also represents the film rights of the publishers Beltz & Gelberg and Thienemann-Esslinger.
