Born in Lüneburg in 1973, Jan Böttcher was initially songwriter and singer of the Berlin band “Herr Nilsson”. He has published five novels since 2003. With "Nachglühen" he won the Ernst Willner Prize at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition. Jan Böttcher lives in Berlin.
