Kris Brynn studied art history, literary studies and English in Stuttgart and wrote her master's thesis on "Film Architecture in SF Films of the 80s". In addition to her studies, she worked in a bookstore, after which she was employed as an editor for almost 20 years. She has been self-employed since 2013 and has been writing thrillers, short stories as well as science fiction since 2014. For her debut novel "The Shelter" she was awarded the Seraph fantasy literature prize in 2019.
