The French-Moroccan author Leïla Slimani is considered one of the most important literary voices in France. Her books are international bestsellers. Slimani, born in Rabat in 1981, grew up in Morocco and studied at the elite Sciences Po University in Paris. She was awarded the prestigious Prix Goncourt for the novel "Lullaby". "Regardez-nous danser" ("Schaut, wie wir tanzen") is the second part of a trilogy of novels based on the story of her own family.
