After Loulou earned her degree as a Dutch teacher, she started Wilde Haren Publishing with D’Avellonne. As the editor, Loulou is the one to finalise the text of the books. They started this company in the summer of 2020 right after the worldwide Black Lives Matter protests. As a teacher, Loulou found it difficult to find inclusive books for her students, so she decides to start her own publishing house to create a safe and brave environment for BIPOC authors and illustrators.
