Maria Goldverg
Maria Goldverg is a Senior Editor at Liveright, an imprint at W. W. Norton, where she publishes primarily nonfiction. Previously, she worked at Pantheon Books, Vintage & Anchor Books, PublicAffairs, and Perseus Distribution, where she started her career. She has worked with #1 New York Times bestseller and humorist Samantha Irby, New York Times bestselling journalist Keith O’Brien, NBCC and Folio Prize-winning memoirist and critic Margo Jefferson, Whiting Award-winning novelist Andrea Lawlor, Bancroft Prize winning historian Tomiko Brown-Nagin, and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Marcia Chatelain, among others. While at Vintage Books, she oversaw paperback publications for such authors as Dave Eggers, Wallace Stegner, Robert Kolker, and Volker Ulrich to name a few. She also curated the imprint’s ebook singles program, called Vintage Shorts. She was born in the Soviet Union. Today, she lives in Jackson Heights, Queens, with her husband and two cats.
