Nikola Hahn has not only written historical novels (her first detective novel "Die Detektivin" is set in the 19th century), but also investigated fraud as well as homicide and blackmail as a detective. She was a member of a homicide squad, was head of the department for money and document forgery, and has written a reference book on interrogation tactics. Today, she teaches as a lecturer at the Hessian University of Police and Administration in Mühlheim am Main. She is particularly interested in police history.
