Paolo Canton is in publishing since 1985. In 2004, together with Giovanna Zoboli, he created Topipittori, a publishing house specialized in picture books for children, which today has around 350 titles in its catalogue, some of which have been translated into dozens of languages.
In 2011, he was appointed Chevalier dans l'Order des Arts et des Lettres by the Ministry of Culture of the French Republic.
Until 2020, he taught Book Design at the International School of Illustration "Stepan Zavrel", and History of Books and Illustration and Design Methodologies for Visual Communication at the IED in Turin; and holds an annual workshop at HAW in Hamburg.
