Sergio Vila-Sanjuán
Sergio Vila-Sanjuán has been a cultural journalist since 1977. He is currently responsible for the supplement Cultura/s of La Vanguardia. He has published three studies on the world of books and Spanish and international publishing: “Pasando página” (2003), “El síndrome de Frankfurt” (2007) and “Código best seller” (2011), as well as two compilations of his journalistic work: “Crónicas culturales” (2004) and “La cultura y la vida” (2014). In 2018 he published the essay “Otra Cataluña. Six centuries of Catalan culture in Spanish". He is also the author of the narrative trilogy formed by Una heredera de Barcelona (2010), “Estaba en el aire” (Premio Nadal 2013) and “El informe Casabona” (2017), which portrays a century of citizen life combining family memory and chronicles of the time. He has written the plays “El club de la escalera” (2014) and “La agente literaria” (2018). He was curator of the Year of the Book and Reading 2005. He is co-director of the Forum Edita Barcelona and a member of the Real Academia de Buenas Letras. National Prize of Cultural Journalism 2020.
