Syd Atlas was born in Brooklyn, New York. Her first book, “Five Seasons of Love” /“Das Jahr ohne Worte” was published in 2020 and is currently optioned for a TV series. In the mid-1990s, she moved to Berlin where she became an integral part of the city’s performance art scene and went on to make documentary films. She presents talks at Frankfurter Buchmesse and is the face of the Books at Berlinale, the yearly pitching event connecting the book world to producers. She lives and works in Berlin.
