Tanja Raich was born in Merano in 1986 and studied German and history. Publications in literary magazines (Kolik, Lichtungen, Die Rampe, etc.) and anthologies. Various prizes and scholarships, including 2nd place in the Munich Short Story Competition 2015, finalist in the 20th MDR Literature Competition, Rome Scholarship of the Federal Chancellery of Austria, Exile Literature Prize 2014. Tanja Raich lives in Vienna. Jesolo is her first novel. It was nominated for the Austrian Book Prize in the debut category.
