Ute Krause

Writer, illustrator, screenplay writer and director

Ute Krause was born in 1960 and grew up in Turkey, Nigeria, India and the USA. She studied Visual Communication at the Academy of Arts in Berlin, and Screenwriting in Munich. She is successful as a writer, illustrator, screenplay writer and director. Her picture books and children's books have been translated into several languages and adapted for television. Ute Krause has been awarded prizes by the Book Art Foundation and nominated for the German Children's Literature Award.
