Die Löwinnen von Afghanistan
Based on conversations she had with Afghan women here and on the ground, as well as with the help of her own family history, Waslat Hasrat-Nazimi gives an insight into the struggle of Afghan women against systematic oppression. She tells of their hopes and fears, of courage, despair and strength. What becomes obvious in the process: Afghan women have always been instrumentalised for their own purposes (be it by the Western powers, the Mujahideen or the Taliban). People talk about them, not with them.
