Wolfgang Niess holds a doctorate in history and was an editor at SWR television for many years. He made a name for himself as a presenter on SWR and SDR radio, as well as through the event series "Autor im Gespräch" (Author in Conversation), which he developed and has presented for more than 20 years. Niess is the author of numerous radio and television programmes, essays and book publications on aspects of contemporary history.
