Yevgeniy Breyger was born in Ukraine in 1989. He won the Leonce and Lena Prize of the City of Darmstadt in 2019, scholarships from the German Literature Fund and the Edenkoben Manor in 2020. 2021 Munich Poetry Prize and 2022 scholarship of Villa Massimo Rome - Casa Baldi. He is a visiting professor for Literary Writing & Translation at the University of Hildesheim and at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
