Public transport
From the central station you can take the S-Bahn (commuter train), U-Bahn (metro) and Tram to the exhibition site. You can take one of four different S-Bahn trains to the "Messe" station (entrance "Torhaus").
- S3 direction Bad Soden
- S4 direction Kronberg
- S5 direction Friedrichsdorf
- S6 direction Friedberg
The underground will take you to the "City" entrance of the Fair (stop "Festhalle/Messe") in less than 5 minutes (take the U4 direction "Bockenheimer Warte").
You can also take tram 16 (direction "Ginnheim") or 17 (direction "Rebstockbad") to the Festhalle/Messe stop.

From Frankfurt Airport S-Bahn (fast train) services S8 and S9 (direction Hanau/Offenbach; Ost/Frankfurt Hbf) run at frequent intervals, taking you from the airport to Frankfurt's main train station (Hbf) in about 10 minutes.
From there, you can use public transportation to get to the fair, e.g. the S-Bahn (commuter train), U-Bahn (metro) and Tram to the exhibition site or walk.

If you opt for a walk: You need about 10 minutes from the north side of the Frankfurt main train station to the exhibition site. Take "Düsseldorfer Straße" to reach "Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage" and from there just head for the "Messeturm" (pointed skyscraper in front of the exhibition site).
There is a frequent bus from Frankfurt Hahn (about 120 kilometres from Frankfurt) to Frankfurt's main train station.
A one-way trip takes 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Car
For Frankfurt Book Fair visitors who arrive by car, there is parking available (fee required) at the "Rebstock" area, which is outside of Frankfurt’s Low Emission Zone (i.e. no "green badge" required).
The exhibition car park "Rebstock, Am Römerhof", has direct access from the Autobahn exit Frankfurt West and a free shuttle services to the entrance City.
If you are arriving from the city centre (N.B. "green badge" required), take the Theodor-Heuss-Allee to the Katharinen-Kreisel (formerly Opel roundabout).
The car park checkout is staffed daily until approx. 8 p.m., while the automated pay stations are accessible around the clock.
On site parking is only possible for exhibitors of Frankfurter Buchmesse with a valid parking permit.
