The new waiting areas for book signings and book sales

We’re looking forward to an inspiring, peaceful and multi-facetted #fbm2024 together with you. To facilitate this and ensure an even distribution of visitors throughout the halls, this year we’ve established specially designated waiting areas for certain crowd-pullers. This regulation affects both selected book signings with popular authors as well as book sales, and ensures better time planning.

On this page, we’ve summarised everything you need to know, including how to access the new waiting areas and where exactly they are located. You can also download the site plan as a PDF file for better orientation at the fair.

Please note: Event tickets at stands can only be requested from the organising exhibitors.

Important information: I would like to buy a book or have it signed at the fair – what do I need to bear in mind?

For selected book signings and book sales, you will need extra stand event tickets this year
Stand event tickets can only be booked through the organising publishers
Unfortunately, you will not be allowed access to the waiting areas without a stand event ticket
The waiting areas will be accessible from maximum 30 minutes before the event begins – you will receive more detailed instructions on how to access the areas on site

The waiting area for Hall 1.2

Individual waiting areas for Hall 1.2 are available in Hall 1.1.
Please note: There is barrier-free access to Hall 1.2 for persons with limited mobility – please report to the entrance zones L and M of the waiting areas.
