World record attempts at #fbm24

Congratulations on six new world records!

It was a very special year for world records: in cooperation with Ravensburger, a total of six world record attempts by top athletes in trending sports took place at Frankfurter Buchmesse – including BMX athlete and content creator Chris Böhm, who made not just one but two attemps! Visitors were there to cheer them on Sunday in Hall 4.1.

Before the record-breaking event on Sunday, there was a moderated talk with Chris Böhm & friends at the Ravensburger exhibition stand.

BMX performer and influencer Chris Böhm is attempting to set two new records at once: firstly, he wants to achieve the most BMX turns on the front wheel with one hand on the handlebars in one minute. Secondly, he is attempting to do the most nose manoeuvres on a BMX bike in 30 seconds – with one foot.

René Mathussek (aka @thisismathu on Instagram)

René Mathussek has become known on Instagram for his content as a freestyle football athlete. His record attempt: the most football passes between the head and sole of the foot in just one minute.

Miguel-Emanuel Franzem (aka @miguelfranzem on Instagram & @elmigoos on TikTok)

Miguel is showing off his BMX skills on Instagram and TikTok and wants to attempt the most bicycle backflips in one minute from a ramp no more than 50 centimetres high. The time limit: exactly one minute.

Klaus Esono Bono (aka @bboyjamel on Instagram, YouTube & TikTok)

Instagram, YouTube and TikTok personality Klaus Esono Bono is combining his breakdance and BMX skills in a bid to break the record of doing the most headspins on a bike in 30 seconds.
