He holds a PhD in information and communication technologies from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. He holds a master's degree in computer science from the University of Chile. He is a researcher in areas of intersection of urban informatics, computational social sciences and information visualization. A highlight on his career is his role as researcher at Telefónica and Barcelona Supercomputing Center.
