Inmaculada Placenciais Senior Expert in the Unit Disability&Inclusion at the European Commission. The unit coordinates policies for persons with disabilities including the European Disability Strategy 2010-2020 and the implementation of the UNCRPD (EU focal point).She graduated in Physics and Computer Science, has a Grade in Physics. She joined the European Commission in 1991 working since then in research, policies and legislation on assistive technology and accessibility in the EU and internationally. She is the expert responsible for the development of specific accessibility legislation including in ICT adopted in 2019 and for EU standardisation on accessibility including on ICT.
