Laura Bangun Prinsloo
Laura left her career in finance to become a publisher. She head Kesaint Blanc Publishing and Printing based in Jakarta and has subsequently moved into other industries. In 2016, Laura became the Chairperson for the Indonesian National Book Committee (2016-2019), an entity established by the Ministry of Education and Culture following Indonesia’s successful appearance as Guest of Honour Country at 2015 Frankfurt Book Fair. She also chaired the committee for Indonesia as the Market Focus Country at the London Book Fair 2019.
Laura is the chair of 17,000 Islands of Imagination Foundation, the co-founder of Jakarta Content Week - an event in rights trade and IP marketplace for the Asia Pacific region jointly organized with Frankfurt Book Fair. Recently, she was appointed by the Jakarta Provincial Government as the Executive Chair for Jakarta Book City Committee, whom responsible for various book-related activities in the city including Jakarta’s bid for the IPA Congress 2022 and UNESCO World Book Capital City in 2022.
