Frankfurter Buchmesse offers various stages to maximise the reach of any programme – guaranteeing the attention of the public and the media. Whether it’s Frankfurt Pavilion, Frankfurt Studio, the Open Stage, the International Stage, Stage 4.0, the New Adult Stage or The ARTS+ Stage, there is a platform for every topic from pop culture to science.

Plus, the popular “Meet The Author” format is returning this year, allowing fans to meet their favourite authors for signatures and selfies.

Frankfurt Studio

Hosting star authors and industry decision-makers, Frankfurt Studio is the platform for rousing talks on the latest topics and trends – with up to 150 viewers on site. On trade visitor days, each event is recorded and made available in the Frankfurter Buchmesse Media Library on the day after the event, and it will remain online for one year. On the weekend, a recording can be booked on request.

International Stage

In focus on the International Stage: book markets as well as literary and cultural-political topics worldwide. Located in the foyer between the international halls 5 and 6, this stage offers you the ideal setting for an exchange with the international publishing community. At the weekend, the stage is particularly suitable for readings by authors from all regions of the world.

The stage in Hall 4.0 is all about trends and market developments in the fields of academic, education and publishing services. On Saturday and Sunday, the stage will become the centre of the Campus Weekend: share information about career entry and job opportunities in your organisation, while making contacts with students and young professionals. Authors and experts on (popular) scientific topics will also meet a knowledge-loving audience here.

„Meet the Author“

Fans can finally come face to face with their favourite authors, who, in turn, can experience the enthusiasm of their readers first-hand – this is a unique opportunity to create lasting memories for everyone involved.

Use our form now to submit your desired number of signing slots (250 euros/30 minutes). Important new feature: ticketing for visitors is currently not planned. If you have authors who are particularly popular, please coordinate closely with us in advance so we can make sure their signing sessions can be handled smoothly.

FAQ

A submission process allows us to give all exhibitors the opportunity to submit proposals to us, so that we can put together an interesting, varied and topical programme, in which all proposals are equally valued.

All exhibitors who has a suitable proposal can submit it. No one is automatically entitled to participate.

As a general rule, the programme team will evaluate all proposals promptly after receipt.

The submissions will be evaluated according to the topicality of the title, relevance to communication focal points, reach of the stage guests and the fit with the target group of the respective stage.

We try to get back to you or give you an answer promptly after receiving your submission (see schedule above).

Unfortunately, we will not be able to consider proposals that reach us after the specified submission deadline (see timetable).

Since the events can be held in German and/or in English, we ask you to submit your idea in one of these two languages.

Fees, travel and accommodation costs for artists, authors, presenters, publishing house staff, interpreters etc. as well as all other costs, such as tickets for the book fair, will not be covered by us.
