Rosa Ribas
Rosa Ribas, born in 1963 near Barcelona, is a writer and columnist living since 1991 in Germany. She studied Spanish philology at the University of Barcelona, where she later completed a PhD. In 2008 she quitted the academic path to fully dedicate herself to Literature. After the publication of “The painter of Flanders” (“El Pintor de Flandes” 2006) she has published 13 novels more, that have been translated into several languages. Her last work is “A Too Familiar Affair“ (Tusquets, 2019). She has created two series of mystery novels. One of them taking place in Frankfurt and with the German-Spanish police officer Cornelia Weber-Tejedor as its main character, and the other along with Sabine Hoffmann, “The trilogy of dark years” (“Trilogie der dunklen Jahre“), set in the 50’s in Spain.
