Utopia, Dystopia and Crime Novel (German)

In a very near future only some decades away from the present, climate change and sea level rise has plunged half of the world. The capital city of Germany is Frankfurt which has turned into a megalopolis where something has not disappeared: crime. This is how Zoë Beck imagines it in Paradise City (2020). This case is investigated by Rosa Ribas who provides us very revealing hints at how previous investigations are conducted, how intrigue is constructed, and which affinities unite two of the most acknowledged authors in the field of contemporary crime novel.
