Johanna Malcher holds a Master's degree in Literary Translation from the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. Apart from specialising in audiovisual translation (voice-overs) and the production of reviews and editorial opinions, she has translated literary and academic texts from German, English and Spanish for various national and international journals and publishers. She has received grants from the German Academic Exchange Service, the Banff International Literary Translation Centre, the Deutscher Übersetzerfonds and the Austrian Literature Society. This year she will participate in the Frankfurt International Translators Programme of the Frankfurter Buchmesse.
