Frankfurter Buchmesse ends with significant increase in visitors
The 71st Frankfurter Buchmesse ended today, with a significant increase in the number of visitors of 8.3 percent at the weekend and a rise of 3.7 percent on the trade visitor days. In 2019, the fair welcomed a total of 302,267 visitors, an increase of 6.0 percent compared to last year.

Book fair venue: Frankfurter Buchmesse and Messe Frankfurt extend contract until 2028
On 3 May 2024, representatives of Frankfurter Buchmesse and Messe Frankfurt signed the extension of the contract until the end of 2028. This continues a good tradition: the largest international book fair has been held in the halls of Messe Frankfurt since 1951 – even during the pandemic years and under challenging conditions.

Sharing Innovation at CONTEC Latin America

German will be the Guest of Honour Language at this year’s international book fair in Turin (Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, 9-13 May 2024 (#SalTo24)). Twenty-five German-language authors will be featured as part of “Literature Parade. Guest Language German at #SalTo24”, the theme of the exhibition stand and programme on the fairgrounds and in the city, which is being jointly organised by Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
